News on Lexington Avenue Construction
Below are some current updates.
- Traffic will move to their correct lanes by the end of the week of November 18th, including the reopening of Gray Fox Road.
- There will be intermittent lane closures to allow for relocating power poles, signing and striping, and traffic signal work. There may be a need to have traffic down to a single lane in each direction to allow for the signal construction at Target Road. This work should hopefully last only a few weeks (through November).
- The other signals in the corridor will be operational as temporary signals for the winter. The majority of movements will be allowed.
- At the rail crossing, Lexington will be down to a single lane southbound. There is a small piece of bituminous pavement needs to be placed to allow for 2 lanes. We are working with the railroad to establish a date to get this piece completed.
- A dedicated left turn lane will be back in place for southbound Lexington to eastbound 694.
- The trail along the east side in Shoreview will remain gravel for the winter. The City of Shoreview has stated they will do snow removal on what they can in this area.
